Nthn Region Young Women's Accommodation Service

This is a regional service that provides services to young Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal women (13 to 20 years) who are pregnant or have a child/ren less than 5 years, who are in need of accommodation and support.

Direct services provided include – self contained accommodation, case management for mother and child/ren, emotional support and crisis counselling, independent living skills training, pregnancy and family planning support, parenting skills training, support and play activities for children, child advocacy, drug and alcohol support/intervention and referral, group support work, Information, support, advocacy and referral, home management, community access, transport to medical and other appointments, recreational, leisure  and social activities, assistance to obtain independent housing, outreach home visiting.

Funded by the Department of Community Services - under the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP).
