Aims and objectives

The aims and objectives of CNCI are as follows:-

  • To ensure that persons disadvantaged by physical/mental/financial hardship and/or disability are given the same rights and access to services as other members of the wider community and that they are encouraged to participate in the decisions that affect their lives.
  • To raise, obtain and receive grants and funds or other aid of the purpose of achieving the above and for the purpose of providing direct services to disadvantaged persons/groups within the community

• Establish and maintain a wide range of information on services, departments, groups and activities for the wider community to access

• Assist and support other community bases services, groups, agencies, organisations and departments to assist in building community capacity.

• Refer clients to the most appropriate service to assist then in meeting their needs

• Form partnerships with other social, community organisations and departments with a view to co-ordinate services and access to resources.

• Engage in community development, education and promoting public knowledge of community needs, resources and civil rights

• Identify, support and develop new initiatives designed to meet gaps and deficiencies in community services and resources.
