Casino and District Respite Care Service.

The target group for this service is people with intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities aged from birth to 64 years.

Direct services provided include - information, support, advocacy and referral, emotional support and crisis counselling, host family respite care, regular social and recreational respite  activities, brokerage and partnership arrangements with other service and departments for specialist services and additional support to clients of the service.

There are 5 programs under the service including:

  • Host Family Respite Program 
  • Respite Disability Program
  • Social Support Program
  • Ageing Parent Carer Program
  • Identified Client Brokerage Program

Funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare – under Home and Community Care Program and Disability Services.
