Casino & District Brighter Futures Service

The Brighter Futures Program is funded by the Department of Community Services under the Early Intervention Program (EIP)

The service covers the Casino and Kyogle Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The service is structured to deliver integrated services to vulnerable families that have been referred following a risk of harm report through the Department of Community Services (DOCS) Helpline or by referrals from other services, department or individuals within the wider community.

All families referred to the service will be assessed and approved by DOCS as meeting the criteria to access the service.

The target group is families who are expecting a children or have children up to and including 8 years of age, with priority of access to the service is for families with children less three 3 years of age.

The service has established a Family Centre in Casino where families will meet with staff for case management, practical support, and/or attend small groups provided by the service. The service will also provide outreach programs, activities and services to identified families living in the Kyogle LGA.
